What are we up to?
Well, besides the normal life, new pj's from Rick and Sue Morel(Thanks!!!) and watching some videos(yes, I now have a more video time than I used to, and I write it off in my mind as language practice):)
Tomorrow is Friday. We have one more "normal" week before the country goes crazy with a big holiday, Mark goes camping, and I'm hunkering down for survival, but we can talk about that in another week:)

Jud and Car snuggle time. Yes, Juddy still sucks his thumb and rubs his belly!
Out on an adventure!
The kids love the subway. I don't take them on it unless Mark is with me, but they love it!!
Spending time before picking up C and L at school. It costs 10 cents to ride this for 5 minutes!!
The girls came with me to an old friends wedding.
The bride and groom
Me seeing some friends baby, I didn't even know they were married!! I had a great time seeing friends I haven't seen for 5 years!
Caroline and Lawrence got mazes in the mail from Grandma Susan and couldn't wait to do them!

A morning in the life of us
I do have deeper thoughts friends, than just the reality before me. And I often think of writing them down, but mostly don't have the time. I've been reading a great book my friend Lisa gave me called, "Comforts from the Cross". Just a month worth of devotion pointing to the cross and what joy there is to be free from sin for salvation, but also for living this life. I'm so aware lately of my failure, whether in my impatience and anger with the kids, and it seems like I'll never change. I can get stuck there though feeling bad about myself, or I can go to Jesus and repent and see His perfect life lived for me, and death for my sin, and forgiveness and instead of a self-improvement feeling that I can be better, I can find hope that He is better. I don't ever have to be perfect, and looking to anything but Him will keep me here in this same battle anyway. So, in my weakness, I find joy that I may fail, but He will never, I may be weak, but He is strong.
And onto reality. Today, I took the littles to the park while the bigs were at school. I was holding Judson at one point and Emma was in the stroller when about 30 people surrounded me in a circle. One little lady started peeling grapes and stuffing them in Juds mouth while all the rest were touching his golden hair and pointing at Emma. I get many questions regarding Emma. Today I got a bit frustrated, so pray for me to respond with grace. Everywhere I go I hear people say "4?" "4 kids?" We are like a walking circus. We respond by saying that we love kids, and that we believe they are a gift. I must admit though, that when I'm struggling to take care of them all, I can easily think or say, "I'm so busy, I'm so tired". Pray that I will be a witness of God's love for us and for children as I show patience and respond carefully with my words. This article that many friends shared with me is of great encouragement to me in thinking rightly about my 4 littles,

Its 8am and we're out in front of our apt complex to take the walk to school.
sights on the walk. ..
Notice there are no sidewalks. Its basically a construction zone as they are tearing down old houses and putting up skyrises. Lawrence on the way home yesterday said, " the sidewalks in Louisville Ky are much better than here. You can walk on them" :)
There is a playground with swings at the building complex where the kids go to school.
The new stroller!!
View from our 4th story apt. This is in the middle of our gated apt complex.
They turn this fountain on at 5pm along with music for people returning from work. Its too bad you can't see the mosquitos that eat us alive everytime we go down:)
Can you see that fence up above the playground? Its actually tennis courts, but without the nets, so the kids like to go up there and run around. I'm grateful for the space.

Happy Birthday Emma!!
We've only known you 6 months, Emma, but we can't remember life without you!! Happy 2nd Birthday Miss Emma Collins!!!
2 years old!
Pizza for lunch. ..
Cake for dessert! You can't even tell that both of the layers cracked in half, can you? Or that my chocolate wasn't melted fully and there are chunks in the icing? Lets just say that freezing the layers together saved the cake!!
mmmmm good.
For me?
Yay, microphone!! Thanks Grandma and Papu!

A big day
Caroline and Lawrence started kindergarten today!! Since we moved I've been looking for a school to send them to in the am in order to learn the language. Surprisingly no one wanted us!! So many kids in school and a little afraid of 2 kids who look different and don't speak the language. But, after praying and keeping on it, I found a kindergarten that will take Caroline and Lawrence in the same class! Today was a trial day. I was anxious about Lawrence. When I took him in to meet the teachers, he clung to me. I was a bit worried how he would do.
On the way to school both of the kids were non stop talking. Caroline all but ran into the class and Lawrence held back. But, once we got there he said he wanted to play with the toys, so one of the teachers took him over to play and I left!!!
I was more emotional than the kids. It all came so fast, leaving the 2 older ones in school! The morning was so strange to only have the 2 littles around. We're only putting them in half a day, so I ran some errands and headed back to school.
I got there early and the kids were doing well. No surprise, Lawrence didn't eat any of the lunch, and Caroline only ate the rice:) HA.
Caroline didn't want to leave, and Lawrence was pretty happy. I'm very thankful.
AND we got our internet hooked up today!! WOOHOO. Very very thankful. You'll be hearing more from me soon . . .
PS. Can anyone help me with moving pictures around on this blog? It makes me crazy that I can't easily get them in order!!
The kids room
After I picked them up from school
At school after I picked them up
Caroline and I went on a wild goose chase, looking for a double stroller, this alley is a cut through to get to the subway.
Teachers and classroom
Walking to school
Ready to go! (the littles wanted backpacks too!)
Our new school.
