I'm Meg. Guanxi means relationship. This is a simple blog, meant to help keep up with my relationships. We live overseas, which makes me grateful for any help I can get!
Oh the sweet snuggly Juddy is 4!! He woke up early, excited to celebrate his birthday, after waiting a loooong time and asking during everyones birthday when his was coming.
I'm 4!
For me?
Thankful for Li Ayi who gave of her time and talent once again to make the kids cakes a masterpiece.
I do the baking and make the icing and she goes to work!!
McQueen pinata as requested
Gifts from Zihou our neighbor
Sharing his birthday with Good Friday. We brought out the mountain and talked about what happened.
Gifts from Grandparents! Thank you!!!
And to calm it down a bit, cause this momma was tired out, a viewing of Cars 2.
Saturday was beautiful weather so we walked to the park. Cherry blossoms!
Picking moss out of the wall, I don't know why, but they loved it and it took 10 minutes!!
Our neighbors buying the kids all handmade sugar candy animals.
Lawrence loved it and asked if we could do this every saturday, especially the part where the neighbor buys us the candy:)
First Day of Spring was Wed. March 20. We celebrated early last Sat. The weather was beautiful!! Its turned cold again after this day, but it was perfect weather for our annual Spring Day celebration!
Waiting for the guys to hide all the spring eggs
And they're off
Seems as though Caroline was not pleased that her eggs were hidden so well. On a side note, Mark noticed a boy and his mom taking off with some eggs(which would be ok if we had unlimited, but I'm a bit of a planner and had 10 eggs for each kid, with a color code and sticker on each one). So Mark confronted the woman and she said, Oh this isn't a public activity to which he said no, can you give me back the egg? Oh and then he had to have her go to her car and get the egg from her son!! Judson was still missing 4 at the end, so I think someone else was happy!!(note to self, make some extra eggs next year for curious people)
Dying Spring Eggs. Thanks to Granny Morel for bringing in the stash from the states the night before Spring day!!! What a treat!!!
And, thankfully our neighbor came and hung out with us for the festivities. His dad got online and came over the night before asking if he needed to bring some homemade eggs:) I said no, just bring a basket.
Another note to self: Next year grab Judsons basket before he gets inside. He had eaten EVERYTHING by the time I found him. And then he pounded this cup of dirt cake!!! Happy Spring friends. I hear the cherry blossoms are out on campus. Hopefully I can get there before they are gone!!
Why does kids hair grow so fast? I can't keep up. Did I tell you about last time Jud got his hair cut? They decided to do a dry wash. He was ok with that, but when it came time to lay down and wash out the soap, he was having nothing to do with it. Li and I held him down while he kicked and screamed. Then I held him down to get his hair cut. Lets just say that it was shorter. . . in some spots.
This day, wise mom went with no wash. He was calm. Not smiling, but calm.
Such a funny face.
Lawrence, like me, enjoys a good wash and massage.
And a mohawk doesn't hurt.
This is Emma's first hair cut in a salon. She wasn't so sure at first.
Yahoo, I'm done, and I got 2 lollipops out of those guys.
She asked me yesterday when she could get her hair cut again.
At the park with new haircuts!
Lisa let us borrow a bike, and after moving the seat down, Emma can ride!!
