Happy Spring Day

First Day of Spring was Wed. March 20.  We celebrated early last Sat.  The weather was beautiful!!  Its turned cold again after this day, but it was perfect weather for our annual Spring Day celebration!

Waiting for the guys to hide all the spring eggs

And they're off

Seems as though Caroline was not pleased that her eggs were hidden so well.  On a side note, Mark noticed a boy and his mom taking off with some eggs(which would be ok if we had unlimited, but I'm a bit of a planner and had 10 eggs for each kid, with a color code and sticker on each one).  So Mark confronted the woman and she said, Oh this isn't a public activity to which he said no, can you give me back the egg? Oh and then he had to have her go to her car and get the egg from her son!!  Judson was still missing 4 at the end, so I think someone else was happy!!(note to self, make some extra eggs next year for curious people)

Dying Spring Eggs.  Thanks to Granny Morel for bringing in the stash from the states the night before Spring day!!!  What a treat!!!

And, thankfully our neighbor came and hung out with us for the festivities.  His dad got online and came over the night before asking if he needed to bring some homemade eggs:)  I said no, just bring a basket.

Another note to self:  Next year grab Judsons basket before he gets inside.  He had eaten EVERYTHING by the time I found him.  And then he pounded this cup of dirt cake!!!  Happy Spring friends.  I hear the cherry blossoms are out on campus.  Hopefully I can get there before they are gone!!

Ah, a sweet sight to see the tradition kept up! Love that photo of Emma in the bunny ears with the green grass. Grady still talks about the "Lion Dog" sighting in that courtyard that spooked him before the Egg Hunt last year. Love that the neighbors joined in! Hugs to you, friends.
